BOBBY & THE OLD LADY

Here are some designs which are in development. They are for a story I am writing. It’s 1957 in Alabama when Joey, a cocky white boy, defends Bobby, a scarred black mute boy who sits alone at the back of a sweaty orphan bus heading for the Midwest. At the Chicago orphanage Bobby and Joe’s friendship grows as they wait for someone to adopt them, eventually they are adopted by the head nuns sister, a strict catholic lady from Minnesota. Once the boys have adapted to the freezing winters and the cold neighbours, Joey begins to questions the old lady’s sanity and is left with a dilemma when he finds Bobby has been hiding a secret, which could burn the outsiders neighbourhood to the ground.
