THE RICH LITTLE SWANLING - PAUL J. SCOTT
These children's book illustrations show a rich little swanling who wants to befriend a poor man dressed in an old chicken costume. The story is set in a city called The Big Egg, where the rich dress as swans and the poor can barely afford to clothe themselves like chickens. The story grew out of a sculpture project I created at college, inspired by my research on inequality in Hong Kong and the men who live in caged bunk beds there.
